Looking Ahead: Encrypted Client Communication is the Future

At Lyme PC Repair, we believe your data should serve you — not train someone else’s AI.

That’s why we’ve been quietly working on a major shift behind the scenes: by late 2025 or early 2026, all client communication and data handling will move into fully encrypted channels by default. No more relying solely on the big tech platforms to guard your privacy — we’re building a layered, hybrid environment that keeps your data under your control.

This isn’t just about security. It’s about data sovereignty — ensuring your personal or business information doesn’t end up in someone’s algorithm without your knowledge or consent. Most people don’t realize that platforms like Google and Microsoft have quietly begun scraping enterprise data to feed their AI training. Even if it’s anonymized, the exposure risk is real.

We’re actively developing an encrypted system that combines the familiar productivity tools of Microsoft 365, the communication capabilities of Google Workspace, and the private-by-design infrastructure of ProtonMail. Together, this hybrid model allows us to:

  • Keep day-to-day operations seamless for clients
  • Gradually phase sensitive communication into end-to-end encrypted channels
  • Prevent third-party AI platforms from indexing or analyzing your data
  • Offer a truly private IT experience — without sacrificing usability

No action is needed on your part right now. But you’ll start to notice subtle changes over the coming months — like alternative communication options, secure document exchange portals, and updated consent policies.

We don’t think privacy should be a premium feature. We think it should be the baseline.
Stay tuned — and thank you for trusting Lyme PC Repair as your local IT partner.
